7.7 MSF Day

In natural disasters, many people suffer from fear, uncertainty, hunger and injuries, and some even experience the loss of family members. They bring huge challenges to people, and MSF strives to get to the most affected areas as soon as possible to provide medical aid to those with the greatest needs. Even you cannot be at the front line to rescue, your contribution can always help the vulunerable people access to medical assistance. We cordially invite you to join 7.7 MSF Day to listen to the victims’ need and donate a day of your income to respond to these voices.

After receiving your donation, we will deliver to you a  “7.7 MSF Day” bracelet.  Every bracelet has a QR code for you to listen to more stories under natural disasters. Please wear it on 7 July to show your support for MSF’s medical aid.

Give us your time, join Mapathon

Apart from making a donation, you can also give us your time to save lives in another way. In 2014, MSF co-founded the “Missing Maps Project”, which prioritises mapping vulnerable areas prone to disasters and epidemics. Equipped with more accurate maps ahead of the emergency, humanitarian workers can better follow the impact of natural disasters and epidemic outbreaks, as well as the movements of displaced populations to save more lives. In a venue with a good internet connection, volunteers like you can come together to help locate buildings, roads, pathways and water sources based on satellite pictures. Your participation can help to make map more accurate and up-to-update, and contribute meaningfully to medical humanitarian work in corners of the world where map information is incomplete.
